A Judge to Meet This Moment
Jon Stromsta is running for Judge of Cook County’s 20th Subcircuit (Miller vacancy) not because he has always aspired to be a judge, but because, in a second Trump administration , he believes there is no higher calling he could answer than to uphold the rule of law for our county without fear or favor. He understands that the law applies equally to everyone and serves as a foundation for ensuring all Chicago and have and equal opportunity to build safe, prosperous futures.
Jon is guided by a deep belief that judges must be fair, honest, and free from bias. He will serve as a steady, compassionate presence—someone who listens, understands, and applies the law with integrity. To Jon, accountability and public safety are strengthened when courts embrace transparency, understanding, and real opportunities for people to build better futures.
